During my time at the Student Aviaiton Management Association I refreshed the organization's brand, and initiated several new forms of
Type: Branding, Print, Social Media, Photography, Video
Timeline: 2 years
A Fresh Familiar Look
I refreshed the look of the SAMA logo using school colors, and fixed some geometry issues. Also all previous copies were raster only, so I made sure to create easy to use vector assets. Type was selected to be simple, work well digitally and on print, and showcase the organization's industry professionalism.
Social Media
While maintaining visual consistency I created a variety of social media posts through the school year. Ultimately the goal of all marketing efforts was to attract attendees to the annual conference and career fair, so many of the social media posts revolved around this objective.
Putting pen to paper
SAMA's must also produce a number of print items for their annual events including pamphlets, posters, and banners. These not only help inform students of the events, but educate non-members of SAMA's benefits as well. Finally our event pamphlet allowed us to create additional revenue by selling ad space to career fair companies.
Pics or it didn't happen
SAMA has a history of not documenting events or processes, leaving new members in the dark about how things are done or what happened. This also leaves no marketing assets for future members to use, so I took the initiative to photography as many of our events as possible, especially the conference and career fair.
SAMA in Action
To help further document events and promote SAMA, I shot and edited several videos for social media.
